Hello
Friends,
I hope you have all
made it home and got back into the swing of things. I am excited about the
strategic plans I am working on and will keep you all posted. I have
already met with two of my CFP Partners to continue to build the
relationship. One in particular is already producing fruit. One of
his clients told him she was thinking about buying a home and he referred her to
me. It is so smooth dealing with the CFP. All he wants to know is
what program and he already told me that she could put down 5-15% and he wants
to make sure that she is not maxed out on housing so she can continue to live up
to her financial savings goals. I was even able to refer her to a Realtor
that I have been wanting to do business with. He is the buyers agent for
the #2 Real Estate team in Indiana and I have been working on earning all his
business since July. Let me tell you it really got his attention when I
called and said,"I know you have said you would give me a shot to show you the
excellent service I provide and care with which I give customers from start to
finish. Well I didn't want to prolong it too long so here's the deal,
I have a client that I have preapproved and needs a realtor. I told her I
work with some of the top Realtors in Indianapolis and it will be a much better
experience if I help her choose her Realtor because then I know they will
communicate with me about her needs. I would love to refer her to you but
before I do I would like to know if this goes smoothly and you are really
excited and happy with the way we work together would you give me your
next hot lead? (He said absolutely)
He was excited and I
found out that the reason he is leery of referring lenders is because he is
afraid they will drop the ball and he would look bad. I told him that I
want a relationship that he is confident in and can refer me hands down
over anyone else. I told him I understand and it takes a lot of trust
that I hope we will build as we go through this next year. I told him
that my CFP referred me and only me and I refer all my high end clients to him
(he only works with people that make at least 100K+).
The CFP and
I have our 3rd. meeting next week and it is something that
needs worked at all the time and feedback is critical in the beginning and
he is willing. I gave him the "Power of Partnerships" to listen to and
said that it sums up what kind of relationship I am looking for. He is on
the same page and I am excited. I have also contacted the Director of
Human Resources (I did her purchase and refi.) with a large law firm here
in Indy to get a referral to and Estate Planner. The CFP
asked me if I knew anyone good he has not been happy with the Attorneys he
has been using. We are looking to build a relationship "Circle" that
meets and stays in touch on who each person's business is doing.
I told him that if we get a good Estate Planner they may refer us to a
good Divorce Lawyer that would like to refer his clients
that need to divide assets or sell/refi. a home they
can trust. I am really excited about building a non-Realtor strategic
partnership pillar. It is the best way to take some of the control back
from the Realtors because they know you give them business and that is
huge. It will also allow me to keep going after Realtors in the business
that are productive, professional and fun to work with. I really want to
enjoy the people I work with.
Remember: "If
you are really in awe about yesterday, you are not growing."
I have to run I am
time blocked to work on my business for 2 hours and I am going to listen to
another "Power Partnership CD".
Let me know how you
are all doing and I am very happy to have met you.... GO FOR
IT!!!!!
